Good morning Visual Arts parents, guardians, students and supporters!

Students, be sure to check the digital call board for the latest opportunities, contests and workshops. This week:

• Sophomores, juniors and seniors can apply for National Art Honor Society. Applications are due October 15. No late applications will be considered. Get the details and apply online.
• Submit your art for the Hispanic Heritage student art show. Submissions are due by September 27.
• Register for National Portfolio Day Dallas on Sunday, September 29 from 1-5 p.m. on the SMU campus. Visit with counselors, admissions team members, and faculty from more than 40 art and design schools for a portfolio review before applying to colleges or universities. Get details and RSVP online.
• October 17 is the deadline to apply for YoungArts. Any 15-18 year old visual, literary or performing artist can apply but SENIORS ARE REQUIRED to submit an application to be eligible for a senior show at BTW.

Senior headshots are now available. The photographer has created an online gallery where you can view your photos. For the Visual Arts senior wall:

• Look through your gallery and choose one BLACK AND WHITE photo. 
• "Buy" your photo by either clicking on it and then clicking the 'buy photo' button in the upper right or clicking the shopping bag icon at the bottom right of the photo. To redeem your ONE free photo use the promo code GALLERYWALL when you check out. Choose the digital photo option.
• Email your photo to btwvisualarts@gmail.com and include your name AS YOU WANT IT TO APPEAR on the wall with your photo.

Please send your photo no later than 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 so we can print and install the photos before Portfolio Day on Monday, September 30. If we don't receive a photo from you by September 26, we will select one for you.

You may use the promo code only once, but you can purchase additional digital images or print products from your album. The available products and pricing are listed in the gallery, and the photographer included an option for additional photo retouching.

Portfolio Day is Monday, September 30. We still need some food donations and volunteers to help out throughout the day. Please check out the sign up and help if you are able.
