5x7 RECAP

The second annual 5x7 Art Sale held January 16 was a huge success. Special thanks to the following sponsors: Jerry’s Artarama, Central Market, Langford Art Advisory, Tin District, City Party Rentals, Dallas Art Supply, Kate McLeod Studio, Baker McKenzie and Black Eye. Event Co-Chairs Anne Underwood, Ann Romine and Nell Langford would like to extend their personal appreciation to all the volunteers - both parents and students - who ensured the event ran smoothly.

More than $15,000 was raised for the Visual Arts Guild to meet the direct needs of our Visual Arts faculty and students. We hope all who attended enjoyed the music of the lovely performers of WIMEC while viewing the amazing pieces created by our Booker T. students, faculty and professional artists in our community. We are already fast at work planning for next year’s event.

Email btwvisualarts@gmail.com if you have questions, feedback about the event, or would like to volunteer on next year's committee!

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS AND PARTNERS
Thank you to our 5x7 sponsors and partners.

Special thanks to the Oliver Howard Family, Camille Knight, Danielle King, Jim and Kelly Martin, and BTW alum Olivia Martin for her event artwork.

COALESCE RECEPTION - JANUARY 23

Senior Show #1, Coalesce, will be in the Hudson Gallery from January 15-February 7. The show features works by seniors Alexandra Bovard, Alex Casablanca, Andrea Escalante, Evangeline Farrin, Dorothea Hart, Jessica Manzanares, Bianca Matthews, Robin Miller, Malia Mitchell, Abigail Romine, Aryanna Sotero, and Molly White.

The opening reception for Senior Show #1 COALESCE is Thursday, January 23 from 5-7 p.m. in the Hudson Gallery. We need 1-2 volunteers to restock refreshments and clean up when the reception ends. Many of our regular volunteers have students in the BluePrint Gallery exhibit that evening or have seniors in the show so if you haven't volunteered and can spare an hour, please consider signing up. Students can volunteer.
