Good afternoon Visual Arts parents, students and supporters! Congratulations seniors, and thank you to the faculty, staff and volunteers who made Showcase a success this week!

The Visual Arts Guild hopes you have a safe, restful fall break. When we return, we have a busy December with:

Thursday, December 7: National Art Honor Society reception, 5-7 p.m.
Tuesday, December 12: PTSA meeting (6 p.m.) and Visual Arts Guild meeting at 7 p.m.
Wednesday-Friday, December 13-15: Visual Arts Winter Market, Zero Floor or Green Room, 12:40-1:30 p.m.
Monday, December 18: Booker T Angels, 2-8 p.m.

DECEMBER GUILD MEETING

Our December guild meeting will follow the PTSA on Tuesday, December 12. PTSA meets at 6 p.m. in the Commons and we'll meet at 7 p.m. Students and parents/guardians are invited to join us. We'll have guild news and a small holiday party while we wrap our Booker T Angels gifts.

BOOKER T ANGELS

The Amazon Wishlist for our Booker T Angel family is available now. Items purchased from the list will be shipped directly to the guild president. (There have been some issues delivering items to the school, and we don't want to overload staff with Booker T Angel deliveries.)

Parents/guardians and students are invited to the guild meeting on Tuesday, December 12 at 7 p.m. for a small holiday celebration as we wrap our family's gifts. All supplies will be provided.

We will also need several volunteers to help deliver the presents and host the family at HI Holland Elementary School on Monday, December 18.

5X7 ART SALE

PARENTS, STUDENTS AND SUPPORTERS - help us spread the word about our 5x7 Art Sale.

We are looking for artists in the Dallas community to donate one to two pieces of art for our inaugural 5x7 Art Sale. Donated works will be hung anonymously alongside art from Booker T faculty, students and alums. Each piece will sell for $100 and all proceeds will go toward new equipment for the Visual Arts classrooms.

All participating artists are invited to the Art Sale on Thursday, January 18.

In December current students will have the opportunity to submit artwork for consideration.
