Good evening Visual Arts parents, students and supporters!
This is the last guild newsletter of 2023. When we return in 2024, we jump into auditions on January 27 and February 3. Each conservatory sets up a table at auditions to welcome students, provide drinks and snacks, and help faculty when needed. If you are interested in volunteering or donating snacks or waters, please check out the guild website for details.
Also in January, we are hosting our 5x7 Art Sale. The event is free and open to the public. If you are interested in volunteering to help the fundraising team, please email btwvisualarts@gmail.com.
Students, there is still time to submit artwork to include in the 5x7 Art Sale. See the Visual Arts Guild website for details. January 10 is the deadline to submit artwork.
The artwork contest for the African American Heritage Festival will open when we return in January. The theme is "The Beat," featuring Rhyme Deferred with Interludes. Students are encouraged to incorporate all five conservatories and interpret 'the beat' of each conservatory in their designs.
