Good evening Visual Arts parents, students and supporters!

Some quick news for the last week of school!

SUMMER SOCIAL

Saturday, June 8 is our first guild summer social from 2-4 p.m. at 5223 Monticello. Parents, guardians and supporters of all grades are invited to meet other guild members and learn more about the 2024-25 school year. If you're interested in attending, please RSVP so we can plan light bites and refreshments.

Look for more info on our June 8 social!
PEGASUS PICK UP FOR 2024-25

Pegasus Pick Up is Booker T's version of registration. At Pegasus Pick Up students and families can pick up schedules, pay for lockers and parking spaces, order yearbooks, take ID photos and senior headshots, join the PTSA and guilds, and purchase merchandise. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with the student. Incoming 9th grade students are scheduled on Monday, July 29. Rising sophomores and juniors are Tuesday, July 30, and rising seniors are Wednesday, July 31. We'll provide more information on what to expect at Pegasus Pick Up over the summer.

RENEW YOUR SPONSORSHIP

Current members, we hope you'll renew your membership in the guild for the 2024-25 school year. All our members receive our weekly newsletter, but with a sponsorship (starting at just $25), you'll have access to the online directory, receive guild merch, and your student will be eligible for a $150 Visual Arts grant and the $1,500 senior scholarship.

BECOME A SUSTAINING SPONSOR

If you or someone you know is interested in a sustaining sponsorship, you can refer to the Visual Arts Guild website for details or email btwvisualarts@gmail.com. Our sustaining sponsors receive a variety of perks and promotion at our events in exchange for their sponsorship.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR CLASS OF 2025

We've created a private Facebook group for our rising seniors. Parents, guardians and students are encouraged to join.

Also, mark your calendar for July 31. We will take senior headshots while you're on campus for Pegasus Pick Up. (We'll also have a make-up day once school starts.) Be sure to check email and the Facebook group over the summer for details. We'll send a sign up in July for students to select their session time. Students can pay the $25 when they sign up or pay with cash, check or credit on July 31.

We encourage all students to sit for headshots. Not only are these hung outside Mr. Clark's room, they are used during Portfolio Day, Senior Showcase and graduation and are included in the Senior Dinner slideshow. If the $25 fee is a challenge for anyone, please email btwvisualarts@gmail.com and we can help.
