Good afternoon Visual Arts seniors and parents. Did you know that there are 144 days until the Class of 2025 crosses the stage at the Meyerson?! In addition to graduation, here are a few dates and reminders as we start the second semester.
Senior Shows
Seniors will participate in a Senior Show this semester. The guild will host a reception for each show from 5-7 p.m. on:
- Thursday, January 23 - Senior Show #1
- Thursday, February 20 - Senior Show #2
- Thursday, March 27 - Senior Show #3
- Thursday, April 24 - Senior Show #4
Senior Week
The PTSA's Senior Activities Committee (SAC) hosts a variety of events and activities during Senior Week. For the Class of 2025, Senior Week begins May 12. Make sure you follow the SAC on Instagram @btwhspva2025 and Remind (text @btwco25 to 81010) and/or bookmark the PTSA site to get the latest information.
Senior Decisions on Instagram
Class of 2025 college decisions are posted on Instagram @btw25decisions. Students can fill out a Google form including name, conservatory, school, major and provide a childhood photo and current photo to have their information posted.
Visual Arts Senior Dinner
Each conservatory guild hosts a senior dinner. The Visual Arts Guild will host its dinner for senior students and up to 2 guests in the Hudson Gallery the week of May 19. We will share the date once it has been confirmed by the school.
Visual Arts Senior Scholarships
Seniors can apply for one of five $1500 Visual Arts Guild scholarships awarded at the senior dinner. To be eligible, either the student or a parent must be a member of the Visual Arts Guild. Applicants must have an intended, dedicated college major in art, art conservation, art education, architecture, communication design, film, or art history AND be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours in their freshman year. If you are unsure if you joined the guild, please email btwvisualarts@gmail.com. The scholarship application will go live after spring break.
