STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
  • Don't forget to submit for Young American Talent before March 1.
  • The Latino Cultural Center has volunteer and paid internship opportunities for its Spring Break Camp and various festivals and workshops throughout the year. Complete the form online for details.
  • Art on Main has a call for art for its upcoming exhibit Shelter - A Sense of Place. All artists are welcome to submit a 2D or 3D piece that explores the idea of shelter in all its broad range of forms. The call closes May 24. See the Art on Main website for details.
PARENT OPPORTUNITIES
JOIN A COMMITTEE

We're looking for parents in all grades to join a small committee to help plan I Am Booker T Day on Saturday, April 12. We'll meet once in early April to finalize the schedule and guild materials.

And, parents of 9th-11th grade students are needed to join the Senior Dinner and Senior Scholarship committees. Senior parents cannot serve on these committees so we're looking to you to help plan the senior dinner and manage the scholarship applications. The senior dinner committee will meet several times to finalize the theme, caterer, decor, and speaker. The scholarship committee can likely meet twice - once to kick off the applications and once to review the scoring and create the award certificates. A representative from the committee will present the certificates at the senior dinner.

There are detailed plans of work for both these committees so you don't have to start from scratch. Email btwvisualarts@gmail.com if you would like more information or if you'd like to join a committee.
