VISUAL ARTS WINTER MARKET - DECEMBER 11-13

Support the Visual Arts students at the Winter Market Wednesday-Friday, December 11-13, 12-1:30 p.m. throughout the Zero Floor. Visitors are welcome but be sure to check in at the visitor entrance off Routh Street.

NAHS RECEPTION - DECEMBER 12

The National Art Honor Society exhibit will be on view through the semester. Our newest National Art Honor Society members will be inducted on Thursday, December 12 during the exhibit reception, which is free and open to the public. The reception is from 5-7 p.m. The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. We need 1-2 volunteers to help at the reception.

BOOKER T ANGELS - DECEMBER 13 & 16

Booker T. Angels is an annual tradition where Student Council, PTSA, and Guilds host holiday celebrations for five families at H.I. Holland Elementary School. You can shop the families' wishlists (items will ship directly to Booker T) or volunteer throughout the day. Volunteers are needed on Monday, December 16 at BTW at 2 p.m. and at H.I. Holland from 4-7:30 p.m.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Young American Talent is now open. Visit yat2025.artcall.org to register and submit up to three entries before March 2025. The finalists will exhibit in the Hudson Gallery in May 2025.

The DART Student Artwork Contest is open through February 13. The theme is "Fantastic journeys start on DART." Get the details and submit your entry on the DART website.

Students are encouraged to submit a 5x7 piece in their favorite medium for the 2025 5x7 Art Sale. The sale is January 16 from 7-9 p.m. in the Tin District. It is free and open to the public. Fill out this form to submit your work and provide your bio. See Ms. Benzenberg or email btw5x7@gmail.com with questions. Students should submit their work by December 19.

AROUND BTW

December 9-13: 10-Minute Play Festival, Black Box Theatre, 6-8:30 p.m.
December 11-12: Grand Concert, MAT, 7 p.m.
December 13: STRUT, Black Box, 7-9 p.m.

Note that December 17-20 are early release days. Students are dismissed at 1:25 p.m.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! We are looking for artists to donate a 5x7 artwork (or 2) in their favorite medium for our second annual 5x7 Art Sale.
